Alison M Melson, APR, Honored with Arkansas Chapter of PRSA Achievement Award

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 23, 2018) – The Arkansas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) honored Alison M Melson, APR, manager of communications with Entergy Arkansas a, with the Crystal Award on April 20 at the Little Rock Club.

Melson received the Crystal Award, Arkansas PRSA’s highest honor to a chapter member, for the
contributions she has made during her career to the community and to the profession of public
relations.

Melson, accredited by PRSA and a past president of the Arkansas Chapter of PRSA, has enjoyed a more than 25-year career in public relations and communications. Prior to joining Entergy in 2017, she served as the vice president of communications and marketing at CARTI, a not-for-profit cancer organization that grew from serving 2,000 patients to 20,000 during her time there. She is past chair of the Riverfest Board of Directors and a past board member of the Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure.

The Arkansas Chapter of PRSA is dedicated to developing and enriching the professional lives of Arkansas public relations practitioners. The chapter seeks to build understanding and support for public relations throughout the business community and within the academic community for future practitioners.
