July Virtual Meeting
Join us to hear from Michelle Marasch Ouellette on managing social media during a pandemic. Her work is focused on crisis communication, with an emphasis on social media in emergencies. The assistant professor of public relations at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh is the founder of the North Country Virtual Operations Support Team, designed to provide social media support to local nonprofits and government agencies during crises and has worked with a variety of other digital support during crises.

Unheard: Black Lives and the Fight for Justice
This June, hosts Adena J. White, Kara Wilkins and Katrina Dupins share the experiences of Black Southerners living in, loving, and reconciling with the region they call home. During this program, Adena, Kara and Katrina – all professional communicators – will talk about how Blackbelt Voices came to be, the importance of media representation, and adapting messages to resonate with different audiences.
