March Chapter Meeting: 2020 Crystal Award Ceremony

Congratulations to Denver Peacock, JD, APR, ABC, the 2020 recipient of the Arkansas PRSA Crystal Award.
The Crystal Award is an internal award presented to a member of the Arkansas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America who, in the opinion of the Past President’s Council, has made significant and continuous contributions to the public relations profession over a period of years and/or career. Arkansas PRSA will recognize Denver with the Crystal Award on Friday, March 20, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Denver brings nearly 25 years of experience to The Peacock Group (TPG), the award-winning strategic communications firm he founded in 2014. TPG specializes in public relations, public affairs, media relations, crisis communications, social media, event management and grassroots coalition building. At the firm, he has provided communications, strategic counsel and event support for the U.S. Marshals Museum, Walton Family Foundation, Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, CTEH, The McLarty Companies, Tipton & Hurst, Seal Solar, Magna IV, International Greek Food Festival, Lexicon Inc., Coulson Oil, Express Rx, One Campaign, Chef Shuttle and many others.
He previously worked for nearly 12 years at CJRW, then the Mid-South’s largest independent full-service communications agency. While there, Denver worked with the Arkansas Municipal League, Arkansas Department of Health’s Stamp Out Smoking campaign, Centennial Bank, Kum & Go, Pollo Campero, Razorback Foundation, Clinton Foundation, The Peabody Hotel Group, Arkansas Rice Federation and others. As a senior vice president, he was a member of the leadership team and board of directors.
A licensed attorney, Denver has worked with clients on the passage of critical education reform legislation in the Arkansas state legislature and other initiatives through coalition development, grassroots strategies and media outreach efforts. He provided project management services for both inauguration festivities of Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe and Arkansas Works: The Governor’s Conference on Education and Economic Development and event support for the Clinton Presidential Center, Clinton Presidential Park Bridge, USS Razorback Homecoming and the Big Dam Bridge.
Prior to agency life, Denver provided political, communications and logistical support for The Prince of Wales Foundation, Clinton Foundation, FedEx, Airbus, Napster, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and others. He worked on two presidential campaigns and served a stint at The White House as a trip coordinator for the press corps and advance staffer. In total, Denver has traveled to more than 95 countries and all 50 U.S. states.
He earned his undergraduate degree with honors at Ouachita Baptist University and his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law, where he graduated with honors and served on law review. Denver is an accredited member of both Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). He serves on the advisory boards for the UAMS College of Public Health and Arkansas’ Independent Colleges & Universities; as an assembly delegate for PRSA Arkansas; and as chairman of the Little Rock Sister Cities Commission. He is a former president of IABC Arkansas and a former board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas and Rotary Club of Little Rock.
Denver is a graduate of Leadership Arkansas (Class V), Leadership Greater Little Rock (Class XX) and the Delta Leadership Institute Executive Academy (2017-2018) and member of the Delta Leadership Network. He has been named to Arkansas Business’ “Arkansas 250” and “40 Under 40” lists of influential Arkansans. He is the co-founder of Hoops for Kids’ Sake, the annual bipartisan legislative charity basketball game between the Arkansas House and Arkansas Senate. Originally from McCrory, he is married to Melissa Bragg Peacock and has two children, Presley and Hudson.
