The Arkansas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced 38 PRISM awards at its virtual 2020 ARCom Arkansas Marketing and Communications Event, recognizing exceptional public relations programs and skills of the state’s practitioners, companies and organizations.
“In a year marked by challenges, it’s clear to see that communicators across Arkansas lead the charge to plan and implement effective and creative communications,” said Jason Brown, Arkansas PRSA president. “This year has been an opportunity for communicators to demonstrate value to organizations across a myriad of industries, leading to a robust and impactful set of work, which we celebrated Thursday evening.”
Two additional recognitions were made at last night’s event. The chapter awarded The Sells Agency the 2020 Bob Sells Best of Show Award for its “Our Texarkana Homegrown Video Series” campaign. This award is given to the multi-element campaign that received the highest score from the judges.
The chapter also honored Denver Peacock, JD, APR, ABC, with the 2020 Crystal Award, which is an internal award presented to a chapter member who, in the opinion of the Past Presidents’ Council, has made significant and continuous contributions to the public relations profession over a period of years and/or career. Denver brings nearly 25 years of experience to The Peacock Group, the public affairs and public relations firm he founded in 2014. He is an accredited member of PRSA and the International Association of Business Communicators and currently serves as Arkansas PRSA’s assembly delegate and APR chair.
